While there are no hard set rules, our unique matcha varieties are best enjoyed as lattes rather than with water alone. All our matcha are made of tea leaves grown in full sun, unshaded, without removing any of their stems and veins. This results in a naturally bold, bitter taste when mixed purely with water. This comes from its high levels of catechins, the powerful antioxidants that give matcha much of its health-boosting reputation. When combined with whole milk or creamy oat milk, however, that bitterness transforms into a balanced, rich flavor - creating what many say to be some of the most delicious matcha lattes you'll ever taste. Our farmers chose to create these full-sun matcha precisely for the depth of flavor and nutrients it provides - true to the Wild Orchard way: wild, regenerative, organic, and minimally processed.
